Prevent Banking Fraud

Stay alert, prevent banking fraud before it happens!

**Beware of Phishing**

DO NOT click on links or respond to any messages that come from an unknown source. If you suspect your bank sent you a message, call or use their online portal to confirm first.

**Do not use public Wi-Fi**

Avoid using public Wi-Fi for banking transactions, as it is less likely to be secure than using your mobile data.

Do not access personal information or websites on public networks.

**Be Vigilant**

Keep a close eye on your bank statements and allow for real-time notifications to be sent to you if your bank offers it.

If you think that there is any fraud that is occurring, contact your financial institution immediately so that preventative measures can be taken.

Freeze your accounts, and consider freezing your credit with major credit bureaus.

Mental Health Awareness Month

💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

The goal of this month is the normalize conversations circling around mental health and to encourage support to be given to those around us in need.

How do we uplift others in need, even when we can’t see their pain?

– Keep an open dialogue happening by actively asking friends, family, and coworkers how they are doing. Don’t just stop there, listen.

– Encourage people to feel seen, reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.

– Focus on being mindful. We are happier when we allow ourselves to live in the present moment.

– Little things boost everyone’s moods. Help out with the dishes, send someone a text when you’re thinking of them.

– Know when to ask for help. Everyone needs help sometimes. Professionals can often provide the support where others can’t, and it is nothing to feel shame about.

Prevent Supply Line Leaks

Prevent Supply Line Leaks in your home! 💧

– Replace old lines leading up to appliances with braided steel hoses every three to five years. Use plumber’s tape on the threads!

– Regularly inspect for moisture around fixtures. Accumulating moisture can indicate there is something wrong.

– Think about installing automatic shut-off sensors, or a moisture sensor so that you can be tipped off before a loss happens.

– Ensure that pipes are properly insulated for the colder months.

– Check your water pressure. High water pressure can lead to more frequent leaking at connections.
